U.S. President Donald Trump is set to sign an executive order on Tuesday to establish a White House Olympics Task Force that will oversee planning and coordination for the 2028 Summer Olympic Games in Los Angeles.
Purpose of the Task Force:
- Ensure security preparedness for the games
- Coordinate transportation logistics across federal, state, and local agencies
- Streamline visa and credentialing processes for foreign athletes, coaches, officials, and media

- Trump considers it a personal milestone to host the Olympics during his second term

“The president considers it a great honor to oversee this global sporting spectacle in his second term.”
